What we offer

38 hour class

30-Hours of Classroom

Taught in four 8-hour days from 8 AM to 4 PM. The classroom consists of textbook, lectures, and videos. We use the LA Class E Driving Manual.

  • State Written Test
    The test is taken at the end of the day. All students must pass with a minimum of 80%.

  • 8-Hours of Private Behind-the-Wheel Driving Instruction
    All students begin in a parking lot for assessment and then progress in a structured lesson plan. 

  • State Road Skills Test

You must be at least 14 years and 9 months to take driver ed.

You are required to obtain a Temporary Instruction Permit (TIP) prior to the first day of class. 

A parent meeting is required prior to the start of the course.

14 hour class

6-Hours of Classroom
This is a one-day class offered from 8 AM to 2:30 PM.

  • State Written Test
    The test is taken at the end of the day. All students must pass with a minimum of 80%.

  • 8-Hours of Private Behind-the-Wheel Driving Instruction
    All students begin in a parking lot for assessment, then progress in a structured lesson plan.

  • State Road Skills Test

Cost:  $500

Road skills tests are offered to current Jennifer Driving School students as well as students who have completed their driver's education training at another approved school.

Road skills testing consists of an on-the-road evaluation of your knowledge of the basic operation of a vehicle as well as your mastery of driving laws and skills. You must obtain a score of 70 or above to pass. A $20 retake fee will apply if a passing score is not received. Fees for testing are non-refundable. The road test is required to obtain a license from the Office of Motor Vehicles.

The road test must be taken in Jennifer’s Driving School vehicle and will take approximately 30 minutes to complete.

Cost:  $65 ($40 for test and $25 for vehicle usage)

 TO TAKE THE ROAD SKILLS TEST:

  • If you are 16 years old, you must hold a valid Learner's Permit for at least 180 days.

  • If you are 17 years old, you must present either a Valid Learner's Permit or a Certificate of Completion for the Teen Driver Ed Course.

  • If you are 18 years old or older, you must present a Certificate of Completion for the Adult Pre-Licensing Course.

***A parent or legal guardian must be present to sign consent forms for anyone under 18 taking the road test. If you are physically or mentally handicapped, you must complete your road test at the DMV.
